87th Iwamoto-cho / Higashi-Kanda Family Bazaar

The Iwamoto-cho / Higashi-Kanda Family Bazaar, literally a family bazaar in the Iwamoto-cho / Higashi – Kanda area, started out because this wholesale district was once known as the ‘textile town’ where residents were able to get unsold, out-of-season, or substandard items at bargain prices – this prompted the start of the ‘Family Bazaar’ event and from then on word-of-mouth did its magic, and now this event has now grown into this full-blown bi-annual event during the spring and autumn seasons where you can buy clothes, shoes, bags, and accessories at below wholesale prices and also street food (of course) during the event.

Although this event was once known for substandard clothing at bargain prices, it’s now no longer the case because the Iwamoto Town, Higashi-Kanda family Bazaar Executive Committee now checks for and restricts counterfeit / inferior quality products to ensure that you can buy high-quality products at very low prices during the event.

This spring’s event event installment is happening from 9AM to 5PM on May 25 to 26 AND June 1 to 2, 2024 (Saturdays and Sundays). Nearest stations are Iwamotocho and Akihabara stations. This event will hundreds of items at manufacturer prices so the treasure hunt is the most exciting part at this event!
